The French Evaluation Test (TEF) is a general French test that measure the level of knowledge and skills in French of people whose native language is not French.

Registration steps (on the French page):
- Fill out the registration form at the bottom of the page and read the conditions
- Send an email with a scan of your passport or identity card
- When we have received both of these, we will send you a confirmation email with the bank detailes of the exam centre so you can send the bank transfer
- Once we have received your payment, you will receive a confirmation email with the date and the of the session
- Fill out the registration form
- A scan/photocopy (front and back) of your passport of identity card – email to tef@lillangues.com
- Payment ( by bank transfer)
TEF IRN (Intégration, Résidence et Naturalisation)

The exam takes place on a computer
The TEF IRN (Intégration, Résidence, Naturalisation) has 4 parts – which must all be taken together:
1) Listening (compréhension orale) 10 min (17 questions)
2) Reading (compréhension écrite) 30 min (13 questions)
3) Writing (expression écrite) 30 min (2 sections to complete)
4) Speaking (expression orale) 10 min (2 sections to complete)
TEF IRN registration fee = 175€
TEF CANADA
90% of candidates obtain the level C2.

TEF Canada was created by Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada and the ministère de l’Immigration de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) du Québec for all the economic immigration programmes which need a proof of language ability.
The TEF Canada results are also accepted when obtaining Canadian citizenship. It evaluates your written and spoken French language ability.
The TEF Canada has 4 parts – which must all be taken together:
1) Listening (compréhension orale) 40 min (60 questions)
2) Reading (compréhension écrite) 60 min (50 questions)
3) Writing (expression écrite) 60 min (2 sections to complete)
4) Speaking (expression orale) 15 min (2 sections to complete)
TEFCAN registration fee = 220€
TEF POUR L’ACCES AU QUEBEC
95% of candidates obtain the level C2.

OPTIONAL:
1) Reading (compréhension écrite) 60 min (50 questions)
2) Writing (expression écrite) 60 min (2 sections to complete)

TEFAQ registration fee – 4 sections = 220€

The TEF Universitaire has been officially recognised since 2012 by the Ministère français de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche as a way to prove your French language skills to get into a French University.
The TEF Universitaire has 4 parts – which must all be taken together:
